LAMP Words For Life® is a comprehensive augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) iPad® application designed for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. It combines the power of Minspeak, the Unity® language system, and Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP™) principles and strategies. LAMP is a therapeutic approach rooted in neurological and motor learning principles, aiming to address language development and communication needs.

The app features thousands of frequently used words pre-stored, along with the ability to customize vocabulary, offering unlimited language growth opportunities. By emphasizing access to individual words, users can effectively express their own thoughts in alignment with typical language development.

LAMP Words For Life is suitable for individuals at all levels of communication proficiency, from early learners discovering their ability to influence others to those with advanced language skills. The app incorporates a consistent motor pattern and connects it with corresponding sounds and environmental reactions, mirroring typical language development in typically developing children.

The symbol-based interface of LAMP Words For Life supports users who are not yet literate, complemented by text support for literacy development. The vocabulary, structure, and instructional methods employed by the app are founded on research and clinical experience.

The app offers three vocabulary levels to cater to different skill levels:

 <li>An introductory level featuring 83 core words accessible with a single touch for immediate reinforcement.</li>
 <li>A transition level that requires a second button press to unlock the initial 83 core words and additional vocabulary. This level enables the learning of extended motor patterns without visual distractions.</li>
 <li>A full vocabulary file granting access to verb conjugations, word endings, and over 3,000 words. Users can customize and add personalized vocabulary, such as names, favorite foods, and favorite places.</li>
